The conflict is with the fall APDIM conference noted above, which is likely a work mandate from my boss. If he somehow recants, I'll be at COTC in a flash. Also, I've never had the pleasure of meeting Andy Hopp, who's DnD monster books have been a particular favorite of mine. And there's seeing you guys, of course. :) It’s tempting. Seriously. It isn't disappointing. Whatever is in conflict with Con on the Cob should be canceled so that you can attend the greatest Con on the planet. Seriously. It isn’t disappointing.

My original thought was that this could have something to do with my birthday, but a random date might be more appropo. You would, of course, be invited. ;) I have pondered the idea of a “Cmarcon,” namely something to do with equal parts gaming, beverages, and sweet mystery. That's quite the full schedule. I envy your future down under adventures. :) You know, there really *should* be a con called Cmarcon. I would totally go to that. Totally. I'm not sure what it's primary objective would be, but I'm fairly certain it would be dark and mysterious and bloody brilliant. Hmmm... How difficult is it to start up a con? Wow. There was this one presentation I gave in my junior year in college that was a heck of a lot of fun to put together and I still think of as one of my crowning achievements (creatively if not academically), but I had quite a few problems getting it to work right because, while I was creating it, I moved back and forth between Keynote, MS PowerPoint, and OpenOffice Impress several times. It looked fine in the end, but I never did get the embedded .mp3 to work. I feel your pain.
